Tempe, ARIZ. - In its final tournament of the regular season, the No. 13 Texas A&M women's golf team competes at the PING/ASU Invitational this weekend at the par-71, 6,099-yard ASU Karsten Golf Course.

The Aggies battle a strong field that includes No. 5 Arizona State (host), No. 19 Arizona, No. 8 LSU, New Mexico, No. 11 Oklahoma State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Stanford, Texas, TCU, UC Davis, No. 1 UCLA, UNLV, No. 3 USC, No. 7 Vanderbilt, and No. 23 Washington.

The Aggies have competed at the ASU Karsten Golf Course three times in the McCombs Era, including most recently at the NCAA West Regional in 2009.

"The golf course is one that I've seen a lot," A&M head coach Trelle McCombs said. "I've coached on it many times and it's a scorable golf course, one that the girls will definitely enjoy, especially this team. It's a regional-type field that is packed with top 25 teams and I look for us to do well. We know what we have to do and we're just going to take it step-by-step, one round at a time."

McCombs will use a lineup of sophomore Katerina Ruzickova, junior Mary Michael Maggio, freshman Patricia Garcia, junior Sarah Beth Davis and sophomore Natalie Reeves.

The 54-hole invitational is scheduled for 18 holes each day, Friday through Sunday. The Aggies begin the tournament on Friday from the 10th hole in the final group of the day starting at 9:20 a.m., and are paired with Arizona and Washington. Tee times begin as early as 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

A&M is coming off a third-place finish at the Battle at Rancho Bernardo, which included a career-best second-place finish by Garcia. The PING/ASU Invitational serves as the Aggies final tune-up before the Big 12 Championship April 27-29.
