College Station, TX - Former Texas A&M quarterback and projected first round NFL draft pick Ryan Tannehill worked out today at the McFerrin Indoor Practice Facility in front of 60 NFL personnel representing 22 NFL teams.
Tannehill began his pro day workout by running one attempt at the 40-yard dash, and was timed in a range of 4.58 to 4.62.
Led by former Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke, Tannehill completed a variety of passing drills, including 8-to-10 throws to stationary targets, approximately 50 routes to various receivers such as A&M running back Cyrus Gray and wide receiver Jeff Fuller and ended with 8-to-10 throws in the red zone. Â Tannehill was nearly flawless, completing 65-of-68 passes, including two dropped balls.
In addition to the numerous NFL clubs present, dozens of credentialed media members were also in attendance to watch the highly-anticipated workout. Tannehill completed his session at the McFerrin Indoor Practice Facility with a live interview on ESPN.
The 2012 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place Thurs., April 26-28, and will be televised live on the NFL Network.
