STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M volleyball team concludes its spring exhibition season Saturday as the Aggies participate in the 2012 Lone Star Classic College Showcase at the Dallas Convention Center in downtown Dallas.

The Aggies will play three morning matches in the one-day tournament, opening against Texas-Arlington at 8 a.m. on Court 2. A&M concludes the three-team Pool 2 play at 10 a.m. against Texas Tech.

The Aggies conclude the tournament with a crossover match against a team to be determined from Pool 1. The match will be at 11 a.m. or noon depending on team records following pool play.

The crossover opponent will be Arkansas, Houston or Texas State.

Most recently A&M scrimmaged Houston on Tuesday in College Station, defeating the Cougars, 25-17, 25-21, 15-4 at the Reed Arena volleyball practice gym.

Head coach Laurie Corbelli, who will be entering her 20th season at the helm of the Aggies this fall, returns 10 letterwinners -- including four starters plus the libero -- from the 2011 squad that finished 23-8 after advancing to the NCAA Championship second round. She loses seven letterwinners: five who completed their eligibility, as well as Allie Freiwald who will be placed on a medical scholarship, and Markie Malone who chose to retire.
