OMAHA, Nebraska - Texas A&M soccer signee Jackie Tondl was honored as the Nebraska Gatorade Player of the year and was selected to the Lincoln Journal Star's Super-State and All-State teams this week.
Tondl, a senior in high school who recently led her Omaha Marian High team to a Class A State Championship, was named an honorary captain for both the Super-State and All-State teams.
The defender allowed just 15 goals in her 83 career matches on the OMHS backline. Tondl netted 11 goals in her senior season and assisted four while leading the defense in allowing just three goals in 21 games with 10 straight shutouts.
