Aggies and Bulldogs will kick at 6:30 p.m. from Independence Stadium in Shreveport.

Texas A&M's 2012 football season-opener against Louisiana Tech will be televised on ESPNU with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. (CT) on Aug. 30, ESPN and the Southeastern Conference Office announced today. The Thursday night game between the Aggies and Bulldogs will be contested in Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La.

The 2012 season will mark the inaugural season for the Aggies in the SEC and will also mark the debut of Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin. Season tickets for Aggie home football games are sold out and that includes the largest percentage of seats set aside for students in the country. Kyle Field is the home of the 12th Man and 31,000 students stand ready to yell and assist the Aggie football team.

The first SEC opponent will be Florida and the Gators come to Kyle Field on Saturday, Sept. 8. Other SEC home games include Arkansas (Sept. 29), LSU (Oct. 20) and Missouri (Nov. 24).
