Henry Named to World University Games Team

Sarah Henry, from Garner, N.C., will compete in the 200- and 400-meter IM and the 800-meter free relay at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia July 10-17, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS --- Texas A&M sophomore Sarah Henry will represent the United States in the 2013 World University Games after a strong performance at the U.S. Open Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Henry, from Garner, N.C., will compete in the 200- and 400-meter IM and the 800-meter free relay at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia July 10-17, 2013.

Henry, who sat out the 2011-12 collegiate season due to a knee injury, was the U.S. Open's No. 2 scorer with 79 points. She posted five top eight finishes at the meet, including a victory in the 200 IM (2:12.81) and a runner-up effort in the 400 IM (4:40.90. Henry also took third in the 200 free (1:58.55), fourth in the 800 free (8:38.46) and eighth in the 400 free (4:12.67).

Also representing Texas A&M at the U.S. Open were junior John Dalton and sophomores Paige Miller, Kyle Troskot and Paul-Marc Schweitzer. Dalton placed 20th in the men's 50 free and 14th in the 100 free (51.05); Miller placed 16th in the women's 100 fly (1:02.23); Troskot placed 10th in the 50 free (23.04); and Schweitzer placed 20th in the 200 free (1:51.74).
