More Awards for Manziel

Awards continue to roll in for Texas A&M redshirt freshman Johnny Manziel after his record breaking performance against Louisiana Tech.

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - Awards continue to roll in for Texas A&M redshirt freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel after he earned two more weekly honors on Monday after his record-setting performance in the Aggies' thrilling 59-57 victory against Louisiana Tech.

For the second time this season, Manziel earned honorable mention for the Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week and was one of eight quarterbacks selected for the Manning Award Stars of the Week.

The redshirt freshman from Kerrville, Texas, threw for 395 yards and rushed for a career-high 181 yards. Manziel's 576 total yards of offense broke the SEC record he set earlier this year against Arkansas (557). He accounted for six touchdowns to help Texas A&M to its first victory over a ranked opponent on the road since 2009.
