
Larson Takes Sixth in 200 Breaststroke

OMAHA, Neb. --- Texas A&M sophomore Breeja Larson added to her strong performance at 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials with a sixth place finish in the 200-meter breaststroke on Friday.
Larson, from Mesa, Ariz., led the way after the first 50 meters but couldn't hold that pace as she touched the wall in 2:27.52. Grabbing the Olympic spots in the 200 breast were Rebecca Soni and Micah Lawrence.
In other action involving Aggies on day six of the Trials: in the women's 200 backstroke were senior Megan Latone (2:17.66), sophomore Wylie Escobedo (2:17.70), senior Alyssa Conner (2:17.76) and incoming freshman Claire Brandt (2:18.03); in the 800m free were junior Maureen McLaine (16th, 8:40.80), sophomore Sarah Henry (18th, 8:43.89), sophomore Ashley Adams (8:48.73)
