COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Several of the Texas A&M softball team's fall home contests will be broadcast live on 95.1-3 The Zone HD, making them available to fans worldwide, The Zone Program Director Louie Belina announced today.
Starting with Wednesday's doubleheader vs. Blinn College, The Zone HD will air four home exhibition games plus the team's Maroon & White Scrimmage. To listen to the contests, fans should tune in to 95.1-3 The Zone HD, available through the Radio Aggieland app on any smartphone, or online at www.RadioAggieland.com.
The Aggies will play an eight-game fall season before ending the semester with their annual Maroon & White competition. Action begins this Wednesday at 5 p.m. with a doubleheader vs. the Blinn Buccaneers, and the Sam Houston State Bearkats will travel to College Station for a 5 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday, Nov. 12. For those unable to attend, all four games can be heard on The Zone HD.
The radio station plans to extend its coverage of Aggie fall ball through the Maroon & White Scrimmage. The best-of-five intrasquad series begins Monday, Nov. 18, and could last through Friday, Nov. 22, with one game per day until a team reaches three wins. The times of each game are to be announced.
Calling the action will be the Aggies' home play-by-play announcer, Tim Schnettler. He will be joined by different color commentators throughout the fall.
