The Mexico City native was a three-time AJGA Genesis Shootout Champion along with being a member of the Mexico National Team. Additionally the Blessed Hope Academy attendee was a quarterfinalist at the 2012 US Women's Amateur championship and participated in the World Amateur Team Championships in Argentina in 2010 and Turkey in 2012. “I chose Texas A&M because coach McCombs is very friendly with her players,” Navarro said. “All of my teammates made me feel like I am at home when I am there.” “The thing I love about Marijosse is her quiet confidence that she takes to the course each and every round. I would classify her as a player that is sneaky long off the tee and deadly with the putter. I have watched MJ since she was about 12 years old and I knew then she was a special player.” -- Trelle McCombs |

Additionally Szeryk has helped Allen High School the 2012 Texas State High School Championship, finishing third individually. Recently Szeryk finished second at the “Swing Fore the Cure” high school tournament at 16-under par. "I am so excited about becoming an Aggie and playing for Coach McCombs,” Szeryk said. “Texas A&M is an outstanding university and I'm thankful to be a part of the program. Choosing Texas A&M was an easy decision, between the academic support and world-class facilities available, achieving my goals of earning a degree and being a part of a national championship team are attainable." “Maddie is a player that has been good for a long time. We first put our eye on Maddie back when she was just in the 8th grade. She has become stronger in all areas of her game and I can't wait for her to be here. She could be one of the fiercest competitors that I've been around in a long time.” -- Trelle McCombs |
