Texas A&M women's basketball signee Khaalia (Kai-la) Hillsman had a big week, as she was named an All-American by All-Star Girls Report and helped Whitney Young High School to a city championship in Chicago this week.
All-Star Girls Report named Hillsman a Third Team All-American at the post position. The publication also rates the Aggies one-player recruiting class as the 23rd-best recruiting class in the nation. The full list of All-Americans is available here.
In the Chicago Public League Championship game, Hillsman scored 17 points and had 19 rebounds as Whitney Young posted a 104-74 over Brooks to claim their sixth straight Public League title.
Hillsman is rated by ESPNU HoopGurlz as a five-star recruit, and is a member of the ESPN HoopGurlz 100. She is rated by ESPNU as the 46th-best recruit in the nation and the sixth-best post player.
