The Texas A&M men's golf team opened play at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters on Friday and will return to the links tomorrow when the tournament resumes.

LAS VEGAS – The Texas A&M men's golf team opened play at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters on Friday and will return to the links tomorrow when the tournament resumes.

After 18 holes at the Southern Highlands Golf Club, the Aggies sit in 15th place with a team score of 321 (+33). Tournament host UNLV, meanwhile, leads the field at one-over par.

Junior Greg Yates carded in the Aggies' lowest round of the day with a five-over par 77. Complete scores and results can be found on GolfStat.com.

The second round of the event gets underway Saturday morning with the Aggies stepping to the tee box at 11:12 a.m. (CT) where they will be paired alongside golfers from Arizona State and Georgia Tech.
