Rain Interrupts Opening Round of NCAA Championship

Inclement weather in the Hutchinson area forced the suspension of the opening round of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship on Friday.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Inclement weather in the Hutchinson area forced the suspension of the opening round of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship on Friday.

The Texas A&M men's golf team was one of only 15 squads in the 30-team field to see action on the course at Prairie Dunes Country Club Friday and was midway through its round when rain interrupted play.

The tournament will resume Saturday morning with the Aggies hitting the course at 7 a.m. (CT).
