On the fourth day of the championship meet, incoming freshman Bethany Galat took 17th in the 100-meter breaststroke with a 1:09.17. Galat moved up from her 30th seed that she achieved during prelims. Galat's future teammate, Lisa Bratton, also finished the night with high in the rankings taking 12th in the 100-meter backstroke with a 1:02.15. Going into the finals, Bratton was seeded in the 16th position.
The incoming freshmen weren't the only ones having great performances on the fourth day of the meet. Senior Sarah Henry started off the evening with a great swim in the 400-meter freestyle going 4:12.15 earning her eighth place and a spot on the medal stand.
Also in the 100-meter breaststroke with Galat was 2014 senior and 2012 Olympic qualifier in the event, Breeja Larson. Larson took bronze in the event with a 1:06.73 to Micah Lawrence and Jessica Hardy who tied with a 1:06.51.
The Phillips 66 National Championships concludes tomorrow, August 10.
