Aggie Golfers Open Fall Season with Princeton Dual

The Texas A&M men's golf team will take its first swings of the fall season on Sunday when the Aggies face Princeton in a dual match on the Baltusrol Golf Club's Lower Course in Springfield Township, N.J.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. The Texas A&M men's golf team will take its first swings of the fall season on Sunday when the Aggies face Princeton in a dual match on the Baltusrol Golf Club's Lower Course in Springfield Township, N.J.

“We are really excited to get things going,” Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. “It is going to be a great trip where we will get to play some incredible courses in preparation for a tough fall schedule. I can't remember playing three freshmen at the same time, so that should add to our excitement and fun. I'm anxious to see how they perform.”

Sunday's event will have a stroke-play format with the best four scores counting from each team's set of five players.

The Aggie contingency in the Garden State will be juniors Ben Crancer and Andrew Lister, sophomore Adrià Arnaus while freshmen Connor Black, Cameron Champ and Andrew Paysse will be making their A&M debuts.

Texas A&M enters the season as a model of consistent winning, riding an unprecedented streak of 12 NCAA Regionals and seven straight trips to the NCAA Championships.
