COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies look to extend their home win streak to 14 matches on Sunday as the Maroon and White host the Marquette Golden Eagles in a 7 pm contest at Ellis Field.
The Aggies enter the fray at 5-1-1 and they have won every match at Ellis Field since playing Baylor to a 0-0 draw on September 8, 2013. The last time Texas A&M lost a home match was a 3-1 decision against Pepperdine on September 1, 2013.
Marquette is coming off a heartbreaking loss to crosstown rival Milwaukee on Thursday and the Golden Eagles own a 2-4-1 record. Marquette fell behind 4-0 before storming back to knot the match at 4-4 in the 85th minute. Milwaukee scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute.
On the offensive end, Kelley Monogue has been playing like an untethered tether ball, racking up seven goals and four assists for a team-high 18 points.
Jacie Jermier leads Marquette with five points on two goals and one assist. The Golden Eagles had scored just seven goals in the first six matches before Thursday's four-goal outburst. All four of Marquette's losses have been by one goal.
