COLLEGE STATION – The Midland Racquet Club Invitational final rounds were cancelled due to rain as play was underway on Sunday. The Texas A&M sophomores Frankie Colunga and Max Lunkin advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw with a trio of wins in west Texas.
The maroon and white partnership trailed Trevor Johnson and Blake Wiggins of TCU 4-5 when officials called for play to end. Play was not able to resume as team travel was imminent.
The Aggies return to action Friday, September 19, in Gainesville, Fla. at the SEC Fall Championships hosted by the University of Florida.
