COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's tennis team sent a collection of players down the road to Houston for the Rice Fall Invitational along with a host of players headed to Florida for the prestigious SEC Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Florida.
“This is a great opportunity for our team to get some valuable competition early in the fall,” Texas A&M head coach Steve Denton said. “I know our guys are excited to get rolling. This type of event is great as we get to gauge just how much work our players put in this summer and we need to focus on going
forward.”
A pair of Aggies were seeded in the singles bracket in Gainesville, junior Shane Vinsant was seeded No. 2 and senior Jeremy Efferding was seeded No. 7. Efferding will face Stefan Lindmark of Ole Miss, while Vinsant will await the winner of the play-in match between Robin Haden of Mississippi State and Pen Binet of Vanderbilt.
