COLLEGE STATION, Texas – With tip-off of the 2014-15 season just around the corner, the Texas A&M men's and women's basketball teams are reaching out to the Aggieland community with the 12 Days of Madness campaign, which starts Monday.
Over the 12-day basketball celebration, there will be prizes given away on the Aggies' social media platforms and various community events across the Bryan-College Station area.
Fans can keep up on all the activities, which will be released each morning during the 12 Days of Madness, by following the teams on twitter (@AggieMensHoops & @AggieWBB), facebook (facebook.com/aggiemenshoops & facebook.com/aggiewomenshoops) and Instagram (@AggieMensHoops & @AggieWBB).
The event culminates on the evening of Friday (Oct. 10) as the teams invite the public to join them and participate in Basketball Plaza Palooza from 10-11:30 p.m. on the plaza northeast of Kyle Field prior to Midnight Yell practice.
Basketball Plaza Palooza will feature a basketball set up with shooting contests as well as food, cup and towel giveaways and the chance to meet and interact with both the men's and women's basketball teams, Aggie Dance Team and Hullabaloo band.
The Texas A&M men's basketball team starts the regular season on Nov. 14 by hosting Northwestern State at 7 p.m. on SEC Network +. The Aggie women begin their home season on Nov. 19 with Rice at 7 p.m., also on SEC Network +.
