COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies and Kentucky Wildcats meet in an 11 am match at Ellis Field on Sunday morning. The match is being televised nationally on ESPNU.
Both squads are looking to get back in the win column after narrow losses on Friday. The Aggies dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 6 Florida at Ellis Field last night and Kentucky (7-4-0) suffered a 2-1 loss at Missouri on Friday afternoon in a match that was originally slated for Thursday evening.
The squads have only faced once since the Aggies joined the SEC, playing to a 2-2 draw in Lexington in 2012. Texas A&M (9-2-1) won the only previous meeting, 3-2 in overtime, in an NCAA Championship second round match played in Lexington in 1999.
The combatants both sit in the top half of the SEC standings. Texas A&M is in third place with nine points (3-1-0) sitting behind Florida with 12 points (4-0-0) and Georgia with 10 points (3-1-1). Kentucky is tied for sixth place with six points (2-2-0).
