COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M men's tennis' 37th-ranked duo of Jeremy Efferding and Jordan Szabo advanced to the third round of the 2014 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa Friday afternoon. The Aggies advanced through the second round of the first men's national title of the fall season hosted by the ITA and the University of Tulsa.
Efferding and Szabo continued their run through the doubles bracket with a straight-set win over No. 14 Eric Perez and Tam Trinh of LSU Thursday afternoon, the maroon and white clad duo only dropped five games in the win. The A&M pair will face the 26th-ranked tandem of Paul Oosterbaan and Ben Wagland of Georgia at 1 p.m. on Saturday for a place in the quarterfinals.
No. 15 Shane Vinsant run in the singles bracket ended in straight sets to No. 40 Andrew Harris of Oklahoma.
For the 10th straight year, the University of Tulsa will host the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships at the state-of-the-art Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
