Texas A&M's women's golf team is tied for third after one day of the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla. The Aggies shot a 283 (+3) on the first day of the tournament.

NORMAN, Okla.- Texas A&M's women's golf team is tied for third after the first of three days at the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla. The Aggies shot a 283 (+3) on the first day of the tournament.

The Aggies were led by a trio of golfers who shot even-par 70. Marijosse Navarro, competing for the first time this season, Andrea Jonama and Maddie Szeryk, who has shot par-or-better in three straight rounds, are all tied for 11th in the tournament.

Thanya Pattamakijsakul and Bianca Fabrizio both shot 3-over 73s to round out the Aggies' lineup, and are tied for 35th in the tournament.

Mississippi State leads the 17-team tournament after shooting a 3-under 277 on the first day. Ally McDonald and Jessica Peng of Mississippi State lead the tournament individually after each shooting a 3-under 67. The Aggies trail second-place SMU, who shot a 282 (+2) by a stroke. LSU, who shot a 283 (+3) is tied with Texas A&M for third.

The Schooner Fall Classic continues Sunday in Norman at the 6,082-yard, par-70 course.
