VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – A dozen of the country's top golf squads, including the Texas A&M men's golf team, will be in action this week at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate which gets underway Monday with 36 holes at the Old Overton Country Club.
“We have had a great couple of weeks of practice and feel like we are headed in the right direction,” Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. “The Jerry Pate is one of the best tournaments in the country played on a terrific course, Old Overton, and the field is exceptional. We had some good success there last year and hopefully that experience will be beneficial this time around. This is a good opportunity for us to get back on track.”

The Aggies will tee off their opening round on hole No. 1 beginning at 8:20 a.m. (CT) alongside golfers from Florida State and UNLV.
