Four Texas A&M football players earn midseason honors

Earned Midseason All-America or All-SEC honors from Texas A&M were seniors Cedric Ogbuehi and Josh Lambo, sophomore Josh Reynolds and freshman Myles Garrett.

Four Texas A&M football players earned Midseason All-American or All-Southeastern Conference honors based on their play in the first half of the 2014 season.

Senior offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi (Allen, Texas) earned Midseason All-America kudos from SportsIllustrated.com, CBSSports.com and Phil Steele's College Football Preview, as well as first-team All-SEC midseason honors, while helping clear the way for one of the SEC's top offenses. The Aggies lead the SEC in passing (364.1 yards per game), rank No. 2 in total offense (515.8) and No. 4 in scoring (38.4).

True freshman defensive end Myles Garrett (Arlington, Texas) earned first-team All-SEC honors from Phil Steele after emerging as Texas A&M's top pass rushing threat and breaking the Aggies' freshman record for QB sacks. After eight games, Garrett leads the team with 7.5 QB sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss and seven QB hurries, and he also ranks as the Aggies top tackler on the defensive line with 36 tackles.

Sophomore transfer wide receiver Josh Reynolds (San Antonio, Texas) earned second-team All-SEC midseason after reeling in 32 catches for 518 yards and a SEC-best eight receiving touchdowns after eight games.

Also earning second-team All-SEC midseason honors was senior placekicker Josh Lambo (Middleton, Wisc.), who has been nearly perfect in 2014. Lambo has connected on 7-of-8 field goal attempts, while increasing his career-long field goal twice, and hit all 40 of his extra point tries.
