Walker Named Preseason All-SEC By Media

Texas A&M junior guard Courtney Walker was named Preseason All-SEC by a select panel of media. Texas A&M was picked to finish third in the league.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Texas A&M junior guard Courtney Walker was named Preseason All-SEC by a select panel of media. Texas A&M was picked to finish third in the league, in a poll released by the league at its 2014-15 Tip-Off.

Walker, an AP All-American a year ago, has been named a Preseason All-American by Athlon, Lindy's and The Sporting News this season. Walker averaged 15.6 points per game in 2013-14, and set the Texas A&M sophomore scoring record with 563 points.

The Aggies were voted third in the SEC Preseason Poll, after finishing in a tie for second in the league in 2013-14. South Carolina, the league's champion in 2013-14, and Tennessee, who tied with Texas A&M for second place in 2013-14, finished first and second in the poll, respectively.

Points were compiled on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis. Each media member also voted for a five-player All-SEC Team and the Preseason SEC Player of the Year.
