COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M men's tennis' 37th-ranked duo of Jeremy Efferding and Jordan Szabo advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa Friday afternoon. The Aggies advanced through the third round of the first men's national title of the fall season hosted by the ITA and the University of Tulsa.
Efferding and Szabo got the better of the 26th-ranked tandem of Paul Oosterbaan and Ben Wagland of Georgia Saturday afternoon. The maroon and white clad duo won the first set in a tie-breaker then only dropped three games in the second set to take the quarterfinal match up.
A&M's tandem will face No. 19 Yannick Hanfmann and Roberto Quiroz of Southern Cal Sunday afternoon. The winner will advance to face the winner of the No. 1 doubles team from Tennessee, Mikelis Libetis and Hunter Reese, and No. 3 Arjun Kadhe and Jakob Sude of Oklahoma State.
For the 10th straight year, the University of Tulsa will host the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships at the state-of-the-art Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
