Aggies Set to Host Tyler JC in Midweek Game

The Texas A&M softball team will play four home exhibition games this week, beginning with two consecutive contests Thursday against Tyler Junior College at 4 p.m. followed by a game at 6 p.m.

COLLEGE STATION--The Texas A&M softball team will play four home exhibition games this week, beginning with two consecutive contests Thursday against Tyler Junior College at 4 p.m. followed by a game at 6 p.m.

Each home game this fall is free and open to the public.

Both games Thursday will be broadcast live on 95.1-3 The Zone HD, making them available worldwide on any HD Radio, smartphone or computer. Go to RadioAggieland.com to download the app or listen online.

Texas A&M started the fall season with a home contest, defeating Blinn College 13-1 last Wednesday. Junior Cali Lanphear, sophomore Suzanne White and freshman Tori Vidales each contributed with two-run home runs, amassing half of the runs scored for the night.

The Tyler JC Apache Indians are closing out their inaugural fall home season with a Bryan/College Station stretch, battling the Aggies in two rounds before facing their final fall opponent, the Blinn Buccaneers.  Now-members of the NJCAA Region XIV Athletic Conference, the 18-member TJC team is led by head coach Nicole Dickson and assistant coach Caitlin Bollier.

Up next, the Aggies will play Texas Tech Saturday (Nov. 8) afternoon for their second doubleheader of week at the Aggie Softball Complex. The Aggies and Red Raiders will duel at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
