COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M women's equestrian team, currently ranked No. 9 in the country, continues the SEC road swing with a meet at No. 4 Auburn on Friday, Nov. 7. The meet is slated for a 3 p.m. central start.
The Aggies rode at South Carolina last week and dropped a 12-8 decision to the Gamecocks. Texas A&M is currently 2-2 entering Friday's meet.
The Auburn equestrian team is 1-1 on the season and dropped a narrow 10-9 decision to South Carolina earlier this fall.
“You can look at the national rankings and see that the SEC is a very tough conference in equestrian with all four teams ranked in the Top 10,” Aggie head coach Tana McKay said. “Going on the road is an even greater challenge, but we have had a great week of practice and I look forward to seeing our team compete.”
The Aggie equestrian program has won 11 national titles including the 2012 NCEA Overall National Championship as well as the 2012 NCEA Western National crown.
The final meet of the fall season is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22 with Georgia coming to College Station and the new Hildebrand DVM '56 Equine Complex.
