COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball opens its 2014-15 season Friday night at 7 p.m. as the Aggies host Northwestern State at Reed Arena. Fans are invited to take advantage of several promotions as they come out to join the 12th Man and be a part of the exciting hoops action.
CHALK TALK WITH COACH KENNEDY (FRIDAY AT NOON, LOWER LEVEL OF MSC)
Students and fans who want to hear Coach Kennedy's thoughts and the team's approach heading into the Northwestern State game are invited to Chalk talk at noon on Friday at the lower level of the Memorial Student Center. In addition to getting the inside scope on the game as well as meeting Aggie players and coaches, fans are also eligible for raffle drawings as well as posters, schedule flyers and backpack tag giveaways.
FREE ROCK REED T-SHIRTS FOR STUDENTS
The first 300 students on Friday will receive a Rock Reed t-shirt as they enter the North Entrance of Reed Arena.
FREE PASSPORT COVERS
Students who wear their International Welcome Party t-shirt will receive a free Texas A&M men's basketball passport cover as they enter the North entrance of Reed Arena.
REED ROWDIE PREGAME TAILGATE
The Reed Rowdies will host a pre-game tailgate starting at 4:30pm outside the north entrance to Reed arena with free food, drinks and live music to everyone who attends.
DRESS LIKE AN AGGIE PHOTO BOOTH
Fans will get their chance to get in front of the camera as there will be a “Dress Like an Aggie” photo booth located on the concourse.
AGGIE WRANGLERS TO PERFORM
At halftime fans will be treated to a performance by the Aggie Wranglers, an exhibition country western dance team formed and run solely by Texas A&M students.
SPORTS PASS = FREE ADMISSION TO BAKSETBALL FOR A&M STUDENTS
The same sports pass that allows Texas A&M students to pull tickets for Aggie football games will give A&M students free admission to basketball all season long. All Aggie students need to do is swipe their student ID at the student entrance to Reed Arena (North entrance).
