Texas A&M hosts Art Adamson Invitational

In addition to the Aggies, the men's and women's programs from SMU, LSU, TCU, Arizona State, Stanford and Grand Canyon and the Boise State women's team will be competing at Art Adamson Invitational.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas --- The Texas A&M Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving will host the 2014 Art Adamson Invitational Thursday through Saturday at the Student Recreation Natatorium on the A&M campus.  Annually one of the nation's fastest collegiate swim meets, last year's Adamson produced nearly 300 NCAA “A” or “B” qualifying cuts.

2014 Art Adamson Field: In addition to the Aggies, the men's and women's programs from SMU, LSU, TCU, Arizona State, Stanford and Grand Canyon and the Boise State women's team will be competing at Art Adamson Invitational.

Schedule of Events: This is a prelims/finals meet with the women in the odd event numbers and the men in the event event numbers.

Who's Art Adamson?: A legend in the world of swimming and water polo, Art Adamson served as the Aggies' swimming coach from 1935 to 1970 and still stands as the longest tenured coach in Texas A&M athletics history. He was also instrumental in the development of the College Station Parks and Recreation department in the 1940s. He is a member of the USA Water Polo Association Hall of Fame and the Texas Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame, as well as the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame.
