@AggieEquestrian Adds Four Hunt Seat Signees for 2015

Texas A&M would like to welcome Rebekah Chenelle, Adele Mckenna, Brianna Peddicord and Brianna Simms to the Equestrian program in 2015

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M Assistant Coach Caroline Cramer announced the signing of three National Letters of Intent on Friday. Rebekah Chenelle, Adele Mckenna, Brianna Peddicord and Brianna Simms will join the Aggies' hunt seat team in the fall of 2015.

Rebekah Chenelle

"I love the school and can't wait to be part of the team!" said Chenelle.

Rebekah joins the Aggies as a very accomplished and experience rider in the equition world. She was the 2011 PHA National Champion and in 2012 was named the IEA Leading Hunt Seat Rider and Maters Medal Champion. 2014 was an incredibly successful year for Chenelle, as she took home third at the New England finals, seventh at the Maclay finals and was the Maclay Regionals Reserve Champion.

“We are so excited to announce Rebekah Chenelle will be joining the team in the fall of 2015,” said Cramer. “Rebekah has experience at the top level of the equitation world. Last year she was one of the best junior riders in the country. Her experience and success in the equitation ring are sure to help her be a top competitor for our team.”

"I couldn't be more excited to ride for Texas A&M!” said McKenna. “While visiting I experienced such amazing school spirit; I can't wait to be a part of it. It is truly an honor to have this opportunity."

“I am looking forward to having Adele join our team next fall!” said Cramer. “She has had a very successful junior career and has a lot of experience in the equitation ring. Adele understands what it takes to be competitive on the circuit which will help her be successful in team competitions. Her success in the equitation ring along with her competitive mindset is sure to make her a big contributor to our hunt seat team next fall.”

Brianna Peddicord

"I've worked so hard as an individual to achieve this goal and now I am so ecstatic to work just as hard and contribute as much as I can for the Texas A&M Equestrian team,” said Peddicord.

Brianna joins the Aggies with several top three equition finishes during the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit. She also competed in several finals events this year, including the USEF Pessoa finals, WIHS Equestrian finals and the Maclay finals.

“We are so excited to welcome Brianna to our Aggie family,” said Cramer. “She is going to be a great addition to the team. Brianna is a team player and excels at understanding the horse she is on. This is sure to help her adapt to all the different horses she will ride in NCEA competitions.”

Brianna Simms

Brianna is a diverse and experienced rider that will be an asset when she joins the Aggies in the fall. She was the Grand Champion Junior Hunter and Best Child Rider at The Lexington Spring Premier, Grand Champion and Best Child Rider at The Maryland Horse and Pony Show as well as the winner of the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Flat finals. Throughout her indoor career she has won several different ribbons and awards.

“We are very excited to have Brianna join our team starting in fall of 2015,” said Cramer. “She has been very successful on many different horses. Brianna has excelled in the hunters as well as the equitation. She is able to adjust to many different horses and this will aid in her success with the team. “
