COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M junior Harrison Adams is set to face off with Leandro Toledo of Minnesota Thursday at noon (CT) at the 2014 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

“Harrison has great momentum after winning four matches at home last weekend,” Texas A&M men's tennis head coach Steve Denton said. “He is playing his best tennis of the fall and I know he is excited about the opportunity of getting chance to play in the most prestigious tournament of the fall tennis season.”

The elite competition is slated to take play November 6-9 at the host site of the US Open. The New Braunfels native participated in the doubles tournament two seasons ago alongside Shane Vinsant. Adams, ranked No. 11 in the ITA fall rankings, bounced back from a slow start this season to win his last four matches including a three-set win over No. 44 Tim Kopinski and a straight-set victory of No. 6 Jared Hiltzik, both of Illinois.

The Texas A&M junior is slated to face off against the ITA's 22nd ranked player, Leandro Toledo from the University of Minnesota. The Gopher senior is 7-2 this fall with both losses coming to ranked players, No. 3 Axel Alverez Llamas of Oklahoma and Romain Bogaerts of Wake Forest. The Hamburg, Germany native has claimed wins over No. 13 Mackenzie McDonald of UCLA and No. 58 Andreas Bjerrehus of Virginia Tech this fall.

As the only tournament on the ITA calendar to showcase elite players from every level of college tennis, the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships serves as the culmination of the fall season. Hosted by Columbia University, this prestigious event features a 32-player singles draw and a 20-team doubles draw for men and women.
