The women's 5,000 meters features recent cross country All-Americans with the Aggie tandem of Grace Fletcher and Hillary Montgomery as well as Rachel Johnson of Baylor. In the men's 5,000m A&M's Austin Wells leads a group of Aggies in the race.

A year ago Ahye won the Millrose 60m title (7.13 seconds) in New York City and finished sixth in the World Indoor Championships (7.10 semi, 7.16 final) as she set a national record in both meets. In the 100 meters outdoors Ahye clocked a career best of 10.85 in 2014.

Racing against Ahye in the 60 meters at Gilliam will be the Aggie duo of Aaliyah Brown and Jennifer Madu as well as Gabby Mayo, who set the A&M school record of 7.18 in 2010. Mayo will also run the 60 hurdles, where she set the Aggie school record of 8.05 in 2010.

The men's 60 offers an interesting challenge for A&M's Shavez Hart and Devin Jenkins as they race in the same section with Houston's tandem of Cameron Burrell and Leshon Collins. The race also includes Antoine Adams of St. Kitts & Nevis as well as post collegians Michael Granger and Clayton Vaughn. Jenkins will also face Adams in the same section of the 200 meters along with LeJerald Betters.
