
Aggies Finish Seventh at SEC Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Texas A&M women's golf team turned in its best round of the weekend to finish seventh at the 2014 SEC Women's Golf Championships. Two Texas A&M freshman, Marijosse Navarro and Andrea Jonama, finished in the top-20 of the individual standings at the Greystone Golf and Country Club.
Vanderbilt was crowned the 2014 SEC Champions with 15-over par three-round score on the par-72, 6,050-yard Founders Course. Trailing the Commodores on the leaderboard in the top-10 were South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M (305-302-301), Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri and Florida. Completing the field was Mississippi State, Tennessee and Ole Miss.
The maroon and white were led by a pair of freshman finishing in the top-20. Marijosse Navarro and Andrea Jonama tied for 19th at 10-over par. Senior Chelsea Mocio was just one stroke behind at 11-over in a tie for 24th. Senior Katerina Ruzickova finished at 17-over and freshman Bianca Fabrizio at 31-over in a tie for 49th and 68th, respectively.
