No. 9 Texas A&M hosts LSU at 12 p.m. on Sunday, January 11 on ESPNU for the 40 Years of Women's Basketball reunion game. Several promotions are in store for Sunday's contest.
40 YEARS OF WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CELEBRATION
This game features a celebration of the 40th Season of varsity women's basketball at Texas A&M. All former basketball players have been invited back to Reed Arena for a reunion and to be recognized at halftime.
If you are a former player, athletic trainer or manager for the Texas A&M women's basketball program and would like to participate, contact Kristen Grant (kgrant@athletics.tamu.edu) in the basketball office.
1975-76 MEDIA GUIDES FOR FANS
While supplies last, fans can receive a copy of one of the first media pamphlets created for Texas A&M women's basketball, as a reproduction of the 1975-76 Media Guide will be available.
40 YEARS FACT SHEETS
While supplies last, fans also will receive a fact sheet with notable accomplishments of Texas A&M women's basketball in the past 40 years.
40 YEARS DISPLAYS ON CONCOURSE
The concourse will feature photos, trophies, media guides and rosters from the first 40 years of Texas A&M women's basketball near the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball.
ENTER TO WIN AT SECTION 112
There will be an enter-to-win contest at the table outside section 112. Fans can win gear, gift cards, and autographed memorabilia.
FANS INVITED TO THE COURT POST-GAME
Fans are invited down to the court after the game and appropriate cooling off period to take photos and mingle on the playing floor.
DRAWSTRING BAGS AT KID'S COURT
Prior to the game children are invited to in “Kid's Court” inside the men's practice gym beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Kids will have the chance to shoot baskets or participate in poster making, games and other activities.
The first 200 children at Kid's Court will receive a drawstring bag.
Kids and parents can access “Kid's Court” by entering the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball from the arena concourse and following the signage for “Kid's Court”.
BASKETBALL EQUALS FREE
Students with a 12th Man Sports Pass receive free admission to all home exhibition and regular season Texas A&M Women's Basketball games. Present your student ID at the north entrance of Reed Arena to be admitted to the game. Tickets are available for students without a 12th Man Sports pass for $4 at ticket windows.
