COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies were tabbed 17th in the inaugural D1Baseball.com Preseason Top 25 released by the entity on Monday.
Texas A&M was ranked fifth among SEC schools and the league had eight teams listed in the Top 25.
The Aggies are set to return 22 letterwinners from last season's 36-win squad. The seven returning starters include seniors Blake Allemand, Patrick McLendon, Mitchell Nau and Logan Nottebrok. The Maroon and White also welcome back Preseason All-America Nick Banks who garnered All-SEC Second Team as a freshman last year.
Head coach Rob Childress enters his 10th season in College Station and he has guided the Maroon and White to a school-record eight consecutive NCAA Championship appearances.
