No. 10 Texas A&M Men?s Tennis Picked Second in SEC

The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team was picked second in the 2015 SEC Coaches' Poll announced Friday afternoon by the league office, the league's coaches pegged No. 8 Georgia as the conference champion.

COLLEGE STATION - The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team was picked second in the 2015 SEC Coaches' Poll announced Friday afternoon by the league office, the league's coaches pegged No. 8 Georgia as the conference champion.

The 2015 Aggies return all but one senior off the 2014 SEC Tournament Championship team (25-7, 10-2 SEC), including former All-Americans Jackson Withrow, Shane Vinsant and Harrison Adams. Seniors Jeremy Efferding and Jordan Szabo begin the spring season ranked No. 18 in the initial spring ITA poll. Reigning SEC Coach of the Year, Steve Denton, also welcomes a trio of heralded freshman to the lineup, No. 53 AJ Catanzariti, Arthur Rinderknech and Jordi Arconada.

The Georgia Bulldogs were picked as the overall champion.  Last season, the Bulldogs went 18-8, 11-1 in the SEC. The preseason poll is voted on by the men's tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote.
