No. 10 Texas A&M looks for its fourth straight win in the series against South Carolina, as the Aggies take on the No. 1 Gamecocks on ESPN2's Big Monday at 6 p.m. CT.
The Women's Final Four broadcast team of Dave O'Brien and Doris Burke will bring viewers the action on ESPN2. Aggie fans are familiar with O'Brien and Burke's work, as they called the 2011 NCAA Championship game, won by the Aggies. This game marks A&M's seventh appearance on ESPN2's Big Monday series. The game is also available on computers, mobile phones and tablets to authenticated users on WatchESPN.
Listeners can tune into KZNE 1150 AM in Bryan-College Station, and on the Radio Aggieland app, as Bret Dark and Steve Miller call the action.
A&M is looking for its first win in its 15th try against the AP No. 1 team, but has come close in five of the last seven tries against the nation's top-ranked team, most recently taking an 11-4 lead and trailing by a single possession with just over 13 minutes to play against Connecticut in the 2014 Elite Eight.
The Aggies nearly pulled victories over No. 1 Baylor twice in 2011, having tied or led the Lady Bears in the last four minutes of both regular season games. Of course, the Aggies would go on to defeat Baylor, who had since slipped to No. 3, that season in the NCAA Elite Eight on the way to a National Championship.
This opportunity to defeat the nation's top-ranked team comes against a South Carolina program that Texas A&M has beaten in all three previous matchups, including a 67-65 overtime win over the then-No. 8 Gamecocks in 2013-14.
The Gamecocks are 18-0 this season, and 6-0 in SEC play. South Carolina is led by Tiffany Mitchell, who averages 15.2 points per game.
The Aggies have the league's leading rebounder, Achiri Ade (11.7), and assister, Jordan Jones (8.3) in league play, in addition to the league's second-leading scorer in conference games, Courtney Williams (15.2). Texas A&M is 16-4 on the year, and 4-2 in SEC play.
After this game, the Aggies take the court again on Sunday, February 1 at Reed Arena to host Auburn, and the Frozen February Kickoff, at 2 p.m.
