College Station, TEXAS – The Texas A&M softball team invites fans and season ticket holders to meet the 2015 Aggies on Wednesday, February 4.
The Aggies will hold an open practice that will culminate with a fan event at the Aggie Softball Complex. The event will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and free parking for all attendees will be available in Lot 100 J. The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a free Texas A&M Softball schedule t-shirt and Double Dave's pizza rolls. Additionally, 150 early arrivers will be treated to free popcorn.
Fans are invited to watch practice and fans in 8th grade and younger are welcome participate in drills with the student-athletes, so make sure to come prepared. Coach Evans will be on the microphone to introduce the newcomers, preview the 2015 season and explain the drills. The visitor batting cages, down the first base side, will be open to allow fans to take a few swings of their own.
After practice, the Aggies will sign autographs with free autograph cards provided to the first 300 arrivals. The team will also be on hand for fan photos in the dugout and to play catch on the field.
The team will continue their tradition of hand delivering season tickets to local residents over the upcoming weekend, with all out of town season tickets mailing on Friday. If the team misses you this weekend tickets will be available for pick up on Wednesday, any tickets not picked up will be mailed the following day.
The Aggies kick off the 2015 season at the SoCal Collegiate Classic on February 7, taking on Coach Jo Evans's alma mater, the University of Utah. Each game can be heard through the RadioAggieland app and 12thMan.com.
