Jordan Jones Named To Staley Award Watch List

Texas A&M guard Jordan Jones was one of 16 players named to the Dawn Staley Award Midseason Watch List, an award given to the most outstanding collegiate guard in women's basketball.

PHILADELPHIA- Texas A&M guard Jordan Jones was one of 16 players named to the Dawn Staley Award Midseason Watch List, an award given to the most outstanding collegiate guard in women's basketball.

Jones, a junior from DeSoto, leads the SEC, and ranks 10th in the nation, with 6.7 assists per game, and needs just two assists to move into fifth on Texas A&M's career list. Jones is averaging 9.7 points on the season.

Last season, Jones set the Texas A&M single season record with 261 assists. Jones has three of the Top 11 single-game assist totals in A&M history, including 15 against Vanderbilt on Jan. 2, the most for an Aggie in an SEC game.

The award winner will be announced during the Final Four weekend and the award will be presented by the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia.

The No. 12 Aggies host Auburn on Sunday, February 1 at 2 p.m.
