COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Baseball opens up the 2015 season with a three-game series against the Holy Cross Crusaders and numerous promotions highlight the weekend.
On Friday, the first 200 fans will receive a free “Home of Olsen Magic” t-shirt and the first 500 students will receive Aggie backpack tags.
Sunday is designated as a Junior Aggie Club Day. Junior Aggie Club members receive free admission to the game. It is also a Take-A-Kid-To-The-Game event – buy one adult ticket and get up to four children into the game for free.
On Sunday, pregame activities for children include poster making, face tattoos and more. Following the game, all kids are invited on the field to run the bases.
The highlight of the Valentine's Day weekend will be a special video presented on the Blue Bell Park videoboard on Saturday. The piece will feature Aggie baseball players serenading the 12th Man with love songs. The game takes on extra meaning as Holy Cross hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, where legend has it Esther Howland began the first line of Valentine's Day cards from her home in 1847.
