Sophomore Bianca Fabrizio shot a 3-under 69 to lead the Florida State Match Up after the first of three rounds on Southwood Golf Course.  Fabrizio finished the round with four birdies on the final six holes of the 6236-yard course.

Fabrizio's 69 is tied for the sixth-lowest score in that tournament's history, and matches the low round posted by former Texas A&M standout Katerina Ruzickova in 2014. Her score of 69 is the lowest of her career, and gives her a two-shot lead on the rest of the 66-player field going into the second round.

The Aggies sit in a tie for fifth in the tournament, with a 299 (+11) after one round, seven shots behind leader South Carolina (292/+4). In the tournament's unique Match Up format, the Texas A&M and Florida State pairing leads the Mississippi State/Missouri pairing by a single run.

A&M's Marijosse Navarro sits in a tie for sixth after posting a 1-over 73 on Friday. Thanya Pattamakijsakul shot a 78 (+6) and is tied for 44th, while Maddie Szeryk (79) and Andrea Jonama (80) round out A&M's competitors in a tie for 52nd and a tie for 57th respectively.

The Aggies continue the Florida State Matchup on Saturday, February 14 with the second of three rounds. Live scoring is available here: http://www.golfstatresults.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=teamPlayer&tid=6256 .
