AT FIRST GLANCE

The Aggies take on Oregon in a midweek contest between two weekend tournaments. The Aggies are currently riding a 7-3 record, including a 4-1 outing at home during the Aggie Classic. Texas A&M will face nine ranked opponents before the 2015 season is over and is currently 1-1 against the top 25 after splitting games with No. 10/12 UCLA at the SoCal Collegiate Classic. Returning five starters and four pitchers, the Aggies bring back experienced talent while also welcoming a crop of seven fresh faces to the diamond. Despite returning 13 letterwinners and four pitchers, Texas A&M will take the field without its top three hitters last season. Sophomore April Ryan, who looks to pick up where her teammates left off, is coming off a season where she hit .295 with 14 doubles and 40 RBIs. The Aggies also bring back their top two pitchers in seniors Rachel Fox and Katie Marks. The duo combined for 15 wins and Fox led the team with 123 strikeouts.

LAST AT BAT

A&M got a second chance at their Friday opponents, splitting games on Saturday with another victory over Eastern Michigan before falling 4-3 in an eight-inning contest with Penn State. SCOUTING OREGON

The Ducks went a perfect 6-0 in their opening weekend of the 2015 season at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe,Ariz. Playing a schedule that included No. 25 Texas, plus North Carolina, Wisconsin and Northwestern, teams all receiving votes in the preseason polls, the Ducks outscored their foes 55-15 over the six games. A FAMILY AFFAIR

The father-daughter duo were formerly in the same dugout while the pair was at the University of Georgia. Texas A&M is no stranger to the Glasco family, as middle daughter Erin spent two seasons behind the plate for the Aggies, helping the team to a national runner-up finish in 2008 and taking Big 12 All-Tournament honors the same year.
