No. 15 Texas A&M plays at No. 11 Kentucky in a crucial SEC showdown with potential conference tournament seeding implications and NCAA First and Second Round hosting implications on the line.
The game is available exclusively on SEC Network Plus on WatchESPN, with Jeff Piecoro and Christi Thomas on the call. Authenticated users can access the game via WatchESPN on their computers, tablets and mobile phones.
Listeners can tune into the game on the Texas A&M Sports Network, available in Bryan-College Station on KZNE 1150 AM, with Bret Dark and Steve Miller on the call. Fans can also tune into that broadcast on 12thMan.com or on the Radio Aggieland app.
The Wildcats and Aggies are locked, with LSU, in a three-way tie for the fourth and final double bye spot for the SEC Tournament, which runs March 4-8 in Little Rock, Ark. The winner of this game not only maintains the hold on the spot in the standings, but earns the tiebreaker between the two schools.
Both Kentucky and Texas A&M were named among the NCAA Selection Committee's Top 20 seeds, just over a week ago. The Top 16 seeds named by the committee on Selection Monday will host the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Tournament. A win in this game would solidify either school's resume as a potential host.
The Aggies have won four of their last five games, and are looking for their third win over a ranked team this season. The Aggies feature the leading scorer in the SEC, Courtney Walker, who averages 15.3 points per game.
Kentucky is led by reigning SEC Co-Player of the Week, Makayla Epps, who scored 42 points in Kentucky's epic 92-90 double overtime win at Mississippi State. Epps leads the team in scoring with 15.1 points per game.
The Aggies return to Reed Arena on Sunday, February 22 at 3 p.m. to host Florida in the BTHO Breast Cancer game.
