COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M All-American Shea Groom was one of 22 players selected to the United States U23 Women's National Team that will travel to La Manga, Spain from February 21-March 3 for the Six Nations Tournament.
The six-team tournament features three matches for each country with the USA playing Japan (Feb. 26), Norway (Feb. 28) and England (Mar. 2). The squad will be skippered by Janet Rayfield.
Groom, an NSCAA All-America First Team and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, finished her senior season with 39 points on 16 goals and seven assists.
For her career, Groom appeared in 85 matches, including 80 starts. Her 41 goals and 107 points both rank sixth on Texas A&M's career charts.
A wizard in the classroom, Groom earned Capital One Academic All-America First Team and NSCAA Scholar All-America First Team recognition.
