No. 5 Equestrian Takes on No. 3 UGA - #TopTen

Equestrian Top Ten - at UGA

COLLEGE STATION - The No. 5 Texas A&M Equestrian team is back on the road this weekend, taking on the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs Saturday in Bishop, Ga., at the UGA Equestrian Complex. Here are the #TopTen things you need to know before then:

1. Georiga is currently tied for FIRST in the SEC standings, with a 3-2 league record.
2. The Aggies are coming off an 11-8 victory over NO.2 SOUTH CAROLINA, one of their TWO victories over top five programs this season.
3. The Bulldogs are currently ranked THIRD in the nation after they edged No. 4 Auburn last weekend, 10-9.
4. The Texas A&M Equestrian team has won FOUR of its last five meets, with the only loss in 2015 coming to No.1 Baylor.
5. This is the FIFTH SEC meet of the season for the Aggies, who currently hold an even 2-2 record in league competition. Sitting at 6-4 for the year, the team has already tripled its win total from last season.
6. SIX different English riders have won MOP honors at least once this season. The Aggies have had THIRTEEN different riders win MOP honors on the Western side, taking home the top mark a combined FIFTEEN times.
7. Last time these two programs met, the Aggies won an 11-7 victory over the Bulldogs for the first SEC victory of the season and the first SEC win in the Hildebrand Equine Center.
8. This is the Aggies' EIGHTH top-10 match up during the 2014-15 season.
9. Laura Sumrall and Kaci Fisher are both riding 9-1 records into this meet in their respective disciplines, leading the team in victories.
10. This is the Aggies' fourth consecutive and seventh overall TOP TEN match up this season.
