COLLEGE STATION – Inclement weather forced the suspension of Sunday afternoon's match between No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 56 Tennessee at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggies held a 1-0 lead when play was suspended after taking the doubles point to begin play Sunday afternoon. The Aggies and Volunteers will resume play at 10 a.m. Monday.

The SEC match-up was scheduled to begin at noon, but moisture on the courts delayed the start until 3 p.m. with the second half of the day's double-header against Nicholls State cancelled.

For the seventh time in seven matches this spring the Aggies opened the match capturing the doubles point. A&M's eighth-ranked junior pair of Harrison Adams and Shane Vinsant claimed their third win over a top-10 opponent this spring. The maroon and white clad pair claimed a 6-2 win over No. 3 and reigning NCAA doubles champion Mikielis Libietis and Hunter Reese. The doubles point was clinched by Arthur Rinderknech and AJ Catanzariti, the freshman duo defeated Jack Shipanski and Andrew Dromsky 6-4 on doubles court three.

As play shifted to singles play the Aggies claimed the first set in three of five singles matches that have reached that point. Texas A&M's Vinsant, Catanzariti and Rinderknech carried their first set, while Adams and Efferding trail in their match as play was halted. Sophomore Max Lunkin was knotted up at 4-4 as moisture in the air forced play to cease.

Following Monday's resumption of play, the Aggies will hit the road for the first time this season SEC road trip at No. 7 Georgia on Friday followed by a Sunday match up with No. 34 South Carolina Sunday.
