KANE'OHE, Hawai'i- The No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team heads to the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course for a two-day, 54-hole tournament that runs from March 10-11.
An A&M golfer has won each of the last two tournaments that the Aggies have played in, needing a playoff to determine an individual champion each time. Bianca Fabrizio won the Florid State Match-Up on Feb. 15, and Marijosse Navarro won the UC Irvine Invitational, and an exemption into the LPGA's Kia Classic, on Feb. 24. The Aggies have placed at least one golfer in the Top 5 and at least two in the Top 10 of all six tournaments they have participated in this season.
The Aggies are one of 15 teams to take to the 6,099-yard / par 72 course this week. The tournament starts at 12 p.m. CT / 8 a.m. HT Tuesday with 36 holes off of a shotgun start, and concludes Wednesday with 18 holes, again starting at 12 p.m. CT / 8 a.m. HT. A&M will start five golfers, with the top four scores each round counting towards the team total.
