COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Aggie soccer standouts of the past, present and future made their presence felt while helping the United States Under-20 Women's National Team and Under-23 Women's National Team to recent success at tournaments in La Manga, Spain.
Sophomore Mikaela Harvey and signee Ally Watt propelled the U20 squad to a 3-0 record at the Ten Nations tournament, combining for three of the team's six goals at the event. Four-year letterwinner Shea Groom played the entire 90 minutes of two of the U23 games at the Six Nations tournament as USA posted a 3-0 mark.
Harvey scored the Americans' first goal in a 2-0 win over the Netherlands (March 7), finding the back of the net in the last minute of the first half.
In the U20's final match of the tournament, Watt scored both of USA's goals in a 2-0 triumph against Sweden (March 9).
Groom was the star of America's 2-0 win over Norway (Feb. 28), notching a goal in the 42nd minute and adding an assist in the 70th minute. The two-time All-America also played the entire match in a 1-0 win over Japan before sitting out the final game of the tournament, a 2-1 victory over England.
