NAPLES, Fla. – Appearing for the first of two tournaments in the Sunshine State this month, the Texas A&M men's golf team begins competition at the Talis Park Challenge in Naples, Fla., on Sunday.
“This is a great opportunity for us to get back on track,” Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. “This is a new event for us and Talis Park is supposed to be a terrific course. I think it will do us good to see something fresh – it's always exciting to go somewhere new and play a course for the first time. I have a good feeling that some good golf is coming our way this week.”
The event, which is in its second year and is hosted by Ball State, features a 15-team field that will compete for 36 holes on Sunday before a final 18 holes Monday at the Talis Park Golf Club. The course will play at par 71 and 6,891 yards for the tournament.
Representing the Aggies at the event will be senior Greg Yates, juniors Adrià Arnaus and Ben Crancer and freshmen Cameron Champ and Andrew Paysse.
